Amazing Crochet Bag by Helen Mareth

How amazing is this bag?! This isn’t a written pattern but a full video tutorial on how to crochet this bag. The video is not in English but it’s easy enough to follow! She includes the link in her video for the website to get all of the exact materials she used and is even available as a kit! Color Block Bag by Love.Life.Yarn

Love, love, love this color block bag by my friend Amanda!! Funny story: I’ve admired Amanda’s work from afar for a couple of years now and just found out recently that we only live 30 minutes away from each other!! What?!? So now we’re friends IRL, too. Anyway, this bag, though. It was love at first sight with this one. For me, at least. I love red, a lot. And paired with the white, black, and gray, this one really speaks to me! It would look amazing in so many different color combinations, too. Click the photo to go to the post on Amanda of Love.Life.Yarn’s blog that includes the link for the free pattern.

Dino Backpack by A Crafty Concept

I just love this cute little dino backpack! I’ve seen it made in several colors and it’s so adorable. And, it’s unisex! With 4-year-old boy/girl twins, that’s ALWAYS a win in my book. I might have to make a couple of these for Loki and Lucy! Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern by Ashley of A Crafty Concept.

Hidden Hill Market Tote by Ur Favorite Hooker

Cute story: This bag is actually named after me! When I asked Melissa if she wanted to have a pattern featured here she asked for the name of the road I live on for inspiration for naming the bag. It’s got a nice little ring to it, doesn’t it? Anyway, this bag uses basic granny stripes with a unique construction to make a cute and functional bag. This is one of those ‘can be used for most anything’ bags in my opinion. Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern by Melissa of Ur Favorite Hooker.

Kagan Boho Crossbody by Life and Yarn

Just look at this gorgeousness! Brianna loves, loves, loves bobbles and it shows in her work and I love it! I love a good bobble pattern also! And the fringe? Perfection. She also added a fabric lining to this bag giving it nice stability and a fun and fresh finish. Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern by Brianna of Life and Yarn.

Nerd Life Bag by Yarn Has My Heart

Do you consider yourself a nerd? If you don’t, I’m sure you know someone who does! I used to think nerds were…dorks. As I’ve aged I’ve come to realize that being a nerd isn’t a bad thing at all. In fact, nerds are my kinda people. So go peep this free ‘Nerd Life’ bag pattern and make one for yourself or a nerd in your life! Not Your Granny’s Beach Bag by Yarnique

This bag got her name for obvious reasons. She’s made from a solid granny square (photo tutorial included in the post) and the modern finishes with the cotton rope and metal studs give it a fun and punk(ish) finish! Project Bag by Crazy4CrochetMomma

I love this little project bag. If you’ve never used Bernat Maker yarn, you definitely should. It gives such great stability and just look at that stitch definition! Using simple stitches, this bag will work up in no time at all. Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern by Miranda of Crazy4CrochetMomma.

Seamless Bento Bag by Yarnique

Have you ever seen a Bento bag? If you haven’t, it’s just a long rectangle that you fold and seam into a bag. Pretty neat, huh? This is the basic same look but now you can get it without the seaming! Meet the Seamless Bento Bag. Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern by Chantal (moi!) of Yarnique.

Starburst Purse by Divine Debris

How stinkin’ cute is this purse?! I love bright colors (and so does Amber!) and I love how chic and fun this little bag is. I love the multi-colored straps and fringe and think they really finish it off nicely! This would be perfect for your fun-loving adult self or any little princess in your life. The Everygirl Bag by Yarnique

This bag is by me! I’m biased, of course, but I love this bag! The mesh is fun and easy to work up and isn’t too ‘meshy’ like other market bags can be. Use it for the market, a day at the beach, or as an everyday bag! Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern by me (Chantal of Yarnique).

Velvet Tote Bag by Sewrella

A velvet bag? Yes, please! Ashleigh did great with this design. It’s made using double strands so it’s sturdy enough to actually be used as a bag but is still pretty enough to use as an everyday purse if you want. I love the leather handles, too. I think they really gave it the perfect finishing touch! Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern by Ashleigh of Sewrella.

World Tote by E’Claire Makery

What better reason to crochet a bag than to help save the world? Claire designed this bag for Earth Day and, yes, the pattern is free but if you purchase a PDF copy she’s donating 50% of all proceeds to a good cause! Win, win if you ask me! I love the soft hues she used for this bag and she did such a great job with the tapestry of the globe! Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern by Claire of E’Claire Makery.
