Introduction

Have you tried your hand at Tunisian crochet yet? It’s such a fascinating way of crocheting. You use your long hook (or hook with a cord) to pull up a full row of loops and then finish the row by working into each of them across. It’s the perfect in-between of traditional crochet and knitting!

In the descriptions of each design, I’ve linked to the designer’s IG account as well. Maybe you’ll even find a new designer to follow and love!

Noor actually designed this pattern for the E’Claire Makery August Back to School Blog Hop (which I participated in as well!) so definitely check that out too.

Bias Tunisian Baby Blanket by Toni of TL Yarn Crafts

I’m partial to blankets but I especially love this one! I love corner-to-corner style stitches and I love that she nailed it in Tunisian. The one photoed below is actually the second one she made from this particular pattern so go check out the other one and her beautiful gingham blanket as well 🙂 Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern from @tlyarncrafts.

Callaina Tunisian Lace Bolero by Janne of Joy of Motion

I think Janne is a garment wizard. I swear she cranks them out like they’re frickin beanies! I especially love this lacey bolero and I couldn’t even tell it’s Tunisian. The stitch pairs so well with the simple construction! Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern from @joyofmotion.

Total Tunisian beginner? This pattern is definitely for you then! What better way to practice for the first time than with a super cute coffee cozy? Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern from @tealandfinch.

Dee’s Tunisian Tee by Deena of DMK Crochet for M&DC

Deena created this design as a guest designer for Make And Do Crew earlier this year. I love how simple the design is but how she still kept it classy. Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern from @dmk_crochet for @makeanddocrew.

Hello beautiful! I love everything about his cowl. The split side, the knit look, the yarn…everything is beautiful and Toni is basically a yarn genius. Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern from @tlyarncrafts.

Tunisian Crochet Blanket by Kara of Petals to Picots

I’m partial to blankets but I really love this one! I love the knit look of it and how the self-striping yarn worked up for the contrasting stripes. It would be gorgeous in any color and is completely unisex. Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern from @petalstopicots.

Tunisian Heart Beanie by Ashley of A Crafty Concept

Ashely did great with this beanie pattern! I love the small but definitive brim and how perfect the heart is shaped. This would be super cute in o many color combos! Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern from @acraftyconcept.

Tunisian Honeycomb Stitch Phone Case by Tuula Maaria

What a cute little phone case! I love the honeycomb stitch with the different colors and the cute little button closure. This pattern is also worked in the round so could be a good first project for in-the-round Tunisian work for you! This is not a written pattern, it is a video tutorial. Tunisian Simple Scarf by Carolyn of The Purple Poncho

I love this simple scarf. The yarn Carolyn used striped up beautifully for hers and this would be a great practice project for basic increases and decreases! Click the photo to go straight to the free pattern from @thepurpleponcho.

I hope you found a fun Tunisian project that you can’t wait to get started on! I found a few new patterns myself while doing research for this post. Go get your Tunisian on! 🙂
